Erica Shreck, Ph.D is a licensed clinical psychologist, providing individual psychotherapy and neuropsychological evaluations to adults and young adults.
Biography

Dr. Shreck obtained her Ph.D in Clinical Psychology (Health Emphasis) from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University, where she studied the impact and interaction of psychological, social, cultural and biological factors, as they related to holistic health. Dr. Shreck’s training includes psychotherapy practica at Weill Cornell Medical Center, Bellevue Hospital Center and the Veterans Affairs New York Harbor Healthcare System. Additionally, Dr. Shreck completed a formal minor in clinical neuropsychology. Her areas of practice include: cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) interventions for depression, anxiety, trauma, adjustment issues and chronic medical conditions (e.g. insomnia, chronic pain, diabetes management and stroke). Dr. Shreck also received specialized training in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT) and trauma processing, including certification in cognitive processing therapy (CPT). Dr. Shreck strives to provide tailored, flexible, and culturally responsive care. She is passionate about learning and understanding each individual’s journey, working to leverage clients’ strengths, identify areas for growth and chart a meaningful life.

In addition to private practice, Dr. Shreck currently works as a staff psychologist in the Manhattan VA Telemental Health Hub (TMH) at the Veterans Affairs New York Harbor Healthcare System, providing individual and group therapy services, as well as neuropsychological assessments to rural veterans. Dr. Shreck holds a clinical appointment at the NYU School of Medicine and enjoys teaching and supervising psychology externs, interns, post-doctoral fellows and psychiatry residents.
